Kim Delaney is an American actress best known for her role as Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she received an Emmy Award. Her credits are All My Children Philly CSI: Miami & Army Wives. Delaney was born as the sole child of her homemaker mother and high-ranking executive of her union, the United Auto Workers. Delaney spent most of her childhood with 4 brothers. When she was a little girl, she wanted to be a court-reporter.
